Get ready to lace up your boots and join us for an exhilarating day of football, music, and community spirit at the real5 Networking Football Tournament! This exciting seven-a-side tournament is set to be a highlight in the local business calendar, bringing together teams from across Cheshire for a day of friendly competition and fundraising. Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting event:

Football Tournament Date and Venue

The tournament will occur on the 18th of May 2024 from 12pm, attracting around 20 teams to compete in the fast-paced seven-a-side format. The action will unfold at Warrington Rylands FC, Gorsey Lane, Warrington, Cheshire, WA2 7RZ, where the pitch will come alive with the teams’ and spectators’ energy and camaraderie.

Format and Entry
Each team can secure their spot in the tournament for a noble cause with an entry fee of £100. The tournament will kick off with a league format, giving every team multiple opportunities to showcase their skills and sportsmanship. The top-performing teams will then progress to the knockout stage, battling through the semi-finals and ultimately contending for glory in the grand final match.

Beyond the Pitch

While the football matches will undoubtedly be the main attraction, the event promises much more than just on-field action. The day will feature a lively atmosphere with a bar open, ensuring spectators and players enjoy refreshments and a vibrant social experience. Food will also be served on-site, providing the perfect fuel for athletes and fans to stay energised throughout the day.

We will also see the clash of two Networking Groups, real5 Networking vs BNI Networking! Two networking groups uniting for charity. But who will be crowned the champions on the field?

Entertainment and Fundraising

As the sun sets, the festivities will continue with music late into the night, creating a celebratory ambience for everyone to relish. Attendees can also participate in an exciting raffle to win prizes while contributing to a meaningful cause. It’s important to note that all funds raised from the tournament will be dedicated to supporting the Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals’ Charity, reinforcing the event’s vital role in giving back to the community. Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals’ Charity, ‘WHH Charity’, raises funds to provide additional comforts, care or experiences for the direct benefit of patients and their families beyond that which the NHS can provide.

With the support of their donors and fundraisers, they raise money to improve patient environments, fund additional equipment or facilities, and provide complementary services to enhance the overall experience for patients and their families during their time in the hospital.

Helen Higginson, Head of Fundraising at WHH Charity, said: “We are very grateful to the team at real5 for their support of Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals Charity at such a fantastic event. Every penny raised on the day will be spent within our hospitals, supporting our patients and their families, as well as boosting the wellbeing of our staff teams. Recent donations to WHH Charity have been used to create a new children’s play area, therapy garden, and Sanctuary Hub, and also to purchase gaming stations, interactive dementia activity tables, recordable heartbeat teddies, and much more.

We invite you to mark your calendars and join us for a day of sportsmanship, entertainment, and philanthropy at the real5 Networking Football Tournament. Whether you’re a football enthusiast, a community supporter, a business owner or simply someone who enjoys a great day out, this event is to be noticed.

“We’re excited for this year’s football tournament and are counting down the days to kick-off. We rely on the kindness and generosity of our local community, and even the smallest donation can help to make a huge difference in achieving our goals. We are delighted to be supporting WHHCharity as our charity partner, and the football tournament is one of several events we will be putting on this year to help this fantastic organisation. The WHH is such a far-reaching trust that I have a personal attachment to after both of my parents have received vital treatment across both hospitals in the last 12 months, so it feels good to be giving something back,” said Andy Hibbert, Founder of real5 Networking.

Together, let’s kick off a memorable day of football while rallying behind a worthy cause! For team registrations, go to – https://real5networking.com/football/. All registrations will be responded to March onwards. Let’s come together, play with passion, and make a difference.
